Carmelita Troy, PhD
Chair & Associate Professor of Accounting
Carmelita J. Troy, PhD, serves as Chair of the School of Business Administration at Andrews University and Associate Professor of Accounting. She earned her PhD in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, MBA from Andrews University, and BS in Accounting from Pacific Union College. She has lived, worked, and taught internationally across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.
Dr. Troy specializes in financial accounting, integrating data analytics and emerging technologies into her teaching. She is co-author of Scriptural Foundations for Accounting and has received numerous teaching awards from the School of Business Administration. In 2024, she was honored to receive the Andrews University’s Augsburger Excellence in Teaching Award for her innovative instruction and mentorship.
Dedicated to preparing Christ-centered, ethical leaders, Dr. Troy is passionate about equipping students to excel in business and serve with integrity. Outside of academia, she enjoys traveling, thrifting and crafting.
