One such individual is Marcelino Nieves, a Finance/Accounting Resident at AdventHealth West Florida. Based out of La Vernia, Texas, Marcelino’s journey in the world of finance and accounting is both inspiring and commendable.
Education and Early Career
A proud alumnus of Andrews University, Marcelino completed his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance in May 2021. His academic prowess is underlined by his commitment to gaining real-world experiences, which was evident in the internships he undertook.
Professional Journey
Starting with an internship as a Computer Tech at The Computer Loft from June 2014 to August 2015, Marcelino demonstrated his technical expertise and problem-solving skills. This was just a glimpse of his multifaceted talent, which became more evident in subsequent years.
He took up the role of an Independent Agent at Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America, where he honed his skills in sales, bridging the gap between clients and essential insurance products.
In pursuit of gaining more knowledge about his primary field of interest, finance, Marcelino interned at AdventHealth in June 2020. Here, he undertook the significant responsibility of collecting and analyzing data from leadership across their extensive 50 hospital network.
His dedication and hard work were evident, and it didn’t take long for him to secure another internship. This time, he was an Audit Intern at Crowe, where he spent three months from January to March 2021, diving deeper into the intricacies of finance and accounting.
Soon after, Marcelino found his place at AdventHealth West Florida as a Finance/Accounting Resident. As of now, he’s been with the organization for over two years, reflecting stability and growth in his professional journey.

This passion, combined with his strong analytical and interpersonal skills, makes him a valuable asset to any team.
