Andrews University offers a dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, designed for students who want to bridge the worlds of business strategy and human services.
This unique pathway allows you to:
The MBA is built on a 21-credit business core that develops expertise in strategic management, economics, accounting, finance, leadership, and marketing. You’ll also complete a capstone course in Strategic Management designed to integrate your learning through advanced problem-solving and executive-level decision making.
Beyond the core, you’ll shape your degree with 12 credits of electives, which may be used to pursue a general MBA pathway or to specialize in a concentration such as Healthcare Administration or Accounting/Finance.
The MBA is offered both on campus and online in an interactive synchronous format, giving you the flexibility to pursue graduate study wherever you are.
Admissions Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree
Hold a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. university or an equivalent, recognized institution abroad.
-Prerequisite Coursework
Completion of foundational business courses in accounting, economics, finance, statistics, operations management, and business law. These may be waived with appropriate undergraduate coursework (earned within the last five years with a grade of C or higher).
-Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Required for regular admission unless a waiver is granted. Waiver eligibility includes:
Five years of documented professional work experience, plus minimum grades of B- in statistics and college algebra
A previous Andrews University BBA degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, plus minimum grades of B- in statistics and college algebra
A bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher from a U.S.-accredited institution

Submit a current résumé as a separate document outlining employment history, leadership experience, and professional achievements.
-Official Transcripts
From all post-secondary institutions attended. Transcripts must be sent directly to Andrews University in sealed envelopes or electronically from the issuing institution.
-English Proficiency (International Students)
Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency through an approved test (e.g., TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 110, or equivalent).
