Timmy Duado is a Chicago native who started off college not knowing what area of study he would go into. He started in a small college in Chicago and had a conversation with his mom that changed his life. Timmy recounts how she would tell him about Andrews University. After much thinking and talking his mother presented him with an ultimatum that would push him to attend Andrews University.
He started his education journey at Andrews and started working on campus. He started at the Rec Center as a Manager. Where he made sure items were stocked, games were replaced and create schedules for the other workers. Later, he made his move to Andrews University Ambassador. He learned how to interact with potential students and their families.
Finally, after going through his list of potential areas of study he decided on Marketing. After graduation he found a job opening with the Chicago Bulls. Duado went to a job fair at the United Center. That was his foot inside the door.
After the long day of interviews from the event he knew that the competition was real. What set him apart was how honest he was. He knew he could not fake it. The Bulls where looking for people who not only were honest but who also had integrity and are passionate about sports. These qualities are what got him into the Chicago Bulls and is now a Ticket Sales Associate.
He now gets to apply his Andrews Ambassador skills of touring potential season ticket holders at the United Center. It’s a goal that he knew that not only work ethic and authenticity but also faith can get you into places that most can think as impossible.
