Tosca’s passion for creating efficient systems first manifested at Andrews University from 2016 to 2019. Her BBA in Information Systems program exposed her to the myriad applications of information systems in business settings, igniting an interest in utilizing technology to drive process efficiency and improve service delivery.
Her first professional experience was as a Warehouse Intern with Freightlink Logistic, where she had her initial encounter with practical problem-solving and logistics planning. Following this, she served as a Payroll Student Assistant at Andrews University, where she employed her understanding of business processes and information systems to streamline payroll operations and ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of employee records.
Eager to combine her interest in business processes with a desire to improve healthcare systems, Tosca pursued a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. Here, she expanded her knowledge in healthcare management, policy, finance, and quality improvement.
In the following year, Tosca further honed her skills as an Administrative Resident at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Here, she worked on various operational and strategic initiatives across the organization, contributing to the development and implementation of a new patient portal, a telehealth program, and a performance improvement plan. She was commended for her strategic planning, project management, and analytical skills throughout her tenure.
Following her successful residency, Tosca took on a role as a Patient Financial Services Intern at Alhambra Hospital Medical Center. Here, she streamlined insurance information processes, proving instrumental in improving the claims processes for the business office.
